L-CAT Community Assistance Team
Our Community Assistance Team is where the majority of our activities are.
Here are some examples of incidents we attend.
Flooding.
We provide assistance with sandbagging, evacuation and welfare checks called out by one of our key service users.
Adverse Weather Conditions
During adverse weather conditions such as snow/ice we assist in retrieving stranded motorists from their vehicles to a place of safety when requested to by one of our service users
Covid 19 Pandemic.
During the current Covid-19 Pandemic our responders have been actively deployed carrying out welfare checks and delivering food parcels to the county’s most vulnerable persons. Called out by local emergency planning departments.
We assist Lincolnshire and Humberside Police in high risk missing person searches.
Clearing Roads.
In storm conditions we often assist Emergency Services in clearing roads to keep the county moving.
We have a very capable 4×4 team.
